まじで maji de

Where it appears: Page and panel reference, with the line quoted as briefly as possible.
Meaning: “Seriously?” / “For real?” — surprise or disbelief.
Can you use it?: Friends only Safe to reuse Rude
Say it like this: え、まじで？もう終おわったの？
Seriously? You finished it already?
Grammar note: まじ (“serious”) + で. With a rising tone it becomes a question.

Do I need my own copy of the manga?

Yes. The workbook does not include manga pages. Use it next to a copy you already own or read legally.

What level do I need?

If you can read hiragana and katakana, start at Level 1. Level 3 is for around JLPT N2 and above.
